Here is a easy list of when you should send out all your wedding postage.
Engagement Party and Bridal Shower
For traditional parties send your invitations out one month prior to the date of the party. For casual backyard/ at home parties allow your guest a week or two notice preferably the sooner the better.
Save The Dates
Once you finalize your date with your venue and caterers, send out your save the dates. Ideally six months from your wedding date, having a destination wedding? Send them out nine months or sooner.
Wedding Invitations
Send you wedding invitations six to eight weeks before your wedding, Allow time for your guest to RSVP and give yourself a week or two for you to produce your seating chart and numbers for the venue and/or caterers.
Thank you cards
Send your thank you cards out as soon as possible, if you are using an image for your cards ask the photographer for the first batch (which they typically do a few weeks after the wedding). Traditionally you have up to a year, just make sure you keep track of the gifts and cards while opening them.

Who should sent what
Engagement party – Family or Friends who is throwing it for you, work with them to help them create a guest list.
Bridal Shower – Mother, Mother of the groom or bridal party.
Bachelorette – Maid or honour and Bridesmaids, work with them to create your guest list.
Did you know that ‘traditional’ wedding invitations may require additional postage stamps which could possibly make your already expensive invitation even more expensive!
